(Commack, NY)…The Marcie Mazzola Foundation will host its Fifth Annual Butterfly Auction & Dinner on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 6:30pm at the Westbury Manor, Westbury, NY. The Honoree for the evening is Brian J Jusas, President & CEO Bold Systems, LLC. Tickets are $85, tables of 10 are $800 and sponsorship opportunities are available.
The Foundation was established by her family as a tribute to Marcie who was killed in a car accident in 2002. While only 21 years old when she died, Marcie’s compassionate and loving nature drew her to those who needed help, especially children. The Foundation’s mission is to continue Marcie’s commitment to children and to specifically “help better the lives of abused and at risk children, and increase community awareness about the needs of children”.
The October 30th fundraiser includes dinner, open bar, and features a huge raffle with fabulous prize baskets and silent and live auctions. The charities who will benefit from the Butterfly Auction are the EAC Suffolk County Child Advocacy Center, the Huntington YMCA Summer Camp Program, The Smile Train, Coalition Against Child Abuse and Neglect, Victims Information Bureau of Suffolk County, Rose Brucia Education Foundation, Island Harvest-Kids Alliance: Weekend Food To-Go Program, and The New York organ Donor Network.
