MARCIE MAZZOLA FOUNDATION
HELPS CHILDREN
The Marcie Mazzola Foundation will host its Third Annual Butterfly Auction on Thursday, October 26th at 6:30pm at the Westbury Manor and tickets ate $85. The Honoree for the evening is James Hazen, President and Owner of Saf-T-Swim, Inc.
The Foundation was established by EWGA member Nancy Mazzola and her family as a tribute to Marcie who was killed in a car accident in 2002. While only 21 years old when she died, Marcie’s compassionate and loving nature drew her to those who needed help, especially children. The Foundation’s mission is to continue Marcie’s commitment to children and to specifically “help better the lives of abused and at risk children, and increase community awareness about the needs of children”.
The October 26th fundraiser includes dinner, open bar, and features a huge raffle with fabulous prize baskets and silent and live auctions. The 2006 recipients of the Butterfly Auction are The EAC Suffolk County Child Advocacy Center in Central Islip, the Huntington YMCA Summer Camp Program, Victims Information Bureau of Suffolk, The Smile Train, and the Rose Brucia Education Foundation.
