Jane Delgado Sinks Hole in One at Windwatch League

Jane Delgado, a member of the Executive Women’s Golf Association’s Windwatch League, Hauppauge, sank a hole-in-one on the 3rd hole on Wednesday, July 26, 2006. Jane used a 7 wood to conquer the 129 yard distance. Her shot landed on the fairway just short of the green and rolled onto the center of the green, turning right toward the pin and traveling 20 feet to drop in the cup!

Here’s the play-by-play description of the hole-in-one by Janet Amodie:
 “I had the pleasure of playing with Windwatch member Jane Delgado last night who shot a hole in one on the third hole!  How exciting for her and for those of us playing with her.. If you heard us screaming,  I apologize for the bad etiquette but think that under the circumstances the screaming was understood.  The third hole yesterday played 129 yards ...  Jane used her 7 wood ... landing the ball on the fairway just short of the green and rolling the ball onto the center of the green.  The ball then turned right, toward the pin…20 feet later… in the cup!   How exciting for Jane to walk onto the green without a club in hand and remove her ball from the cup with the pin in place!   We called the pro shop who will notify the MGA and send a plaque.  So again… congrats Jane and thanks for making our round so exciting.”
