Janet
Mallon Receives Printing Industry
Kudos
Congratulations
to EWGA Vice President Janet Mallon
for recently being recognized by Printing
News as one of the "Outstanding
Women in the Industry." Congratulations
to Janet and all the finalists. In
its November 2005 edition, the trade
publication noted that traditionally,
the printing industry has been referred
to as an "Old Boys Club."
Now, the industry thrives, in part,
due to dynamic women who hold executive
positions. Here's what they had to
say about "our Janet":
Mutual
Enraving & Printing Co. is a
third-generation firm. Usually,
family owned businesses do not exist
beyond the third generation, but
this company will, noted John Battaglia,
Mutual Engraving. "The primary
reason Mutual will thrive is because
of Ms. Mallon's dedication and work
ethic," he added. "Ms.
Mallon participates in all phases
of the business from computers to
sales. She has an excellent hands-on
knowledge of what it takes to make
a company work. She works closely
with paper merchants and the designers
to achieve what the customers want.
Ms. Mallon has strong ties to the
people in the graphic arts industry."
